I recently posted a video celebrating my love for RuPaul’s Drag Race the only way I know how…by poorly trying to replicate a drag queen makeup look on my own face. This was the result!

To be honest I impressed and terrified myself. I impressed myself with my unexpected makeup capabilities and terrified myself with my undeniable resemblance to Michael Jackson. What a day of learning! Regardless a lot of you asked about the products I used so I decided to list them all here. Assuming I’d royally f*ck up this drag queen look, I went to a drug store before shooting the video to buy some cheaper products. Products that I wouldn’t be upset about if they became casualties in the war on my face. But in the end I mixed some high and low end friends and here’s what the overall guest list looked like:

  1. Dr. Jart BB Mate Contouring 1.2.3. Kit
  2. Kat Von D Interstellar Eye Shadow Palette
  3. Kat Von D Shade & Light Contour Palette
  4. Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist
  5. Maybelline FIT Me Shine-Free Foundation
  6. Bobbi Brown Blush in Pale Pink 9
  7. BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal
  8. Shany Eye + Lip Primer
  9. NYX Eye Shadow Base
  10. Make Up For Ever HD Powder
  11. NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker in Carbon Black
  12. TopShop Kohl Eyeliner
  13. CoverGirlEye Shadow Quad in Go For The Golds
  14. Anastasia of Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Soft Brown
  15. Anastasia of Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel
  16. Maybelline Colossal Chaotic Lash
  17. Japonesque Eyelash Curler
  18. Ardell Lash Grip Dark Eyelash Adhesive
  19. Ardell Glamour Multipack 105 Eyelashes
  20. Rimmel Exaggerate Full Lip Liner in 105 Under My Spell
  21. Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color in 065 Constantly Cabernet
  22. Too Faced Lip Injection Power Plumping Lip Gloss

And there you have it! 22 easy steps to serve a much less than flawless ‘natural’ drag face! (Plus probably a couple other steps/things I forgot to include) If you want to watch me do my best impression of a struggle monster while attempting this look you can watch the video HERE. And if you want to watch my inspiration, aka someone with actual skills and a distractingly gorgeous jawline showing you the right way to get this look, you should watch MissFameNYC’s “Super Natural Blonde Makeup Tutorial” HERE!

Overall, this video was extremely fun to make and I’d love to sloppily make more, so leave me some suggestions of looks I should try to recreate!

Reminding you that if you can’t love yourself how in the hell are you gonna love somebody else,
